Vogue Introduces One-Time Fashion Challenge on TikTok.
Inspired by the Met's new exhibit, 'About Time: Fashion and Duration', Vogue has introduced a one-time fashion challenge on TikTok. Also, they enlisted editor-at-large Hamish Bowles to show TikTok users how to create a makeshift bustle at home.
The bustle is a historical garment consisting of a pad or frame worn underneath a skirt, causing it to puff out from behind. Bustles which were popular in the early-to-mid 1870 we're found in 'walking dresses'.
Although ordinarily made from acres of crin, Bowles has shown users now to make a bustle from a pillow, a bedsheet, and a few other key tools mixed with creativity. Now, Vogue is calling on TikTok users to create their 2020 take on the voluminous silhouette.
This week, duet Vogue's TikTok with the original audio and create a bustle of yours at home using the hashtag #MakeItVogue. Lucky entries may end up on Vogue's TikTok page or Vogue.com.
